'The Phoenix' uses myth to explore how women are often secondary characters in literature. Transforming the mythical creature into a woman, the phoenix dies and rebirths in front of the audience. These transformations reflect the painful cycles women experience throughout their lives. The work explores video art and projection, creating a highly visual performance.
